The winter transfer market is typically a time of intense speculation and potential big-money moves. A number of notable stars are being linked with moves out of their present clubs. We examine some of the major figures who might be changing clubs in January.

Juventus are desperate to tie down the youngster to a lengthy contract but are in a battle to keep one of Europe's most promising young talents.

Kees Smit

The highly-touted Dutch teenage midfielder has earned parallels to a Belgian superstar for his playing style. Following starring at the U19 Euros, he has become a regular in the AZ side. This teenager is widely expected to make a big-money move this month. Newcastle United reportedly are frontrunners, but are facing strong competition from the Spanish champions for a deal valued at approximately £22 million.
